Jorginho and Emerson are the first players in football history to win UEFA, ECC, SC, in the same year

Chelsea players are already creating a record of their own after their exceptional achievements in the last few months. The blues won the Champions league trophy back in may, a few of their players also won the European Championship and tonight, the West Londoners added the UEFA Super Cup(USC) to their cabinet as well. It's just taken Thomas Tuchel 8 months to turn Chelsea from a mid table team, into a world class side.

Following the Super Cup win, Jorginho and Emerson became the first players in football history to win the European Championship, UEFA Champions league and UEFA Super Cup in the same year. Ronaldo and Pepe could've being the first to do this back in 2016 but both players did not participate in the Super Cup final, hence did not receive a winners medal. That's quite a remarkable achievement for Jorginho and Emerson, given that they were considered flops by football fans earlier in the season. Jorginho in particular was instrumental for Chelsea in their Champions league triumph and was also Italy's best player in the Euro tournament. The 28 year old has managed to make himself strong favourite, alongside Lionel Messi and Ngolo Kante to win the 2021 Balon D'Or award.

Jorginho would now hope to carry his wonderful form into the new premier league season for Chelsea, with the blues aiming to challenge City for the EPL title.
